Treasures in Pretty Packages

Wouldn’t it be nice if we were always just kept in a nice little box all wrapped up with pretty paper and pretty ribbons, like a treasure all secure and safe in our box? And sometimes we might want to keep God in the neat little box that we have put Him in. “You don’t bother my box and I won’t bother yours.” The fact is, that often the pretty ribbons are busted and the pretty papers are ripped and crumpled and along with the treasure thrown into the trash can of what we call life, It is then that we have to be willing to let God out of the box that we have put Him in and let Him work on us to bring us to a trusting faith making us useful in His kingdom. Regardless of what ever “trash” we are dealing with right now the Father can take it and use it to build in us a treasure of faith, but we must be willing to let go of our own plans and walk with Him, knowing that He will lead us when we can’t see into the dimness up ahead.
